Look Like You Got A Spa Facial Without The Spa Cost

Your eyes are closed.

There’s a sweet aroma floating in the cool, comfortable air. Relaxing music sends you to a place of tranquility and peace in your mind.

And when you get up, your skin will have an incredible glow and youthful look that will last for weeks.

A professional facial treatment is a wonderful experience. There’s nothing quite like an esthetician’s expertise and therapeutic touch. And when it’s combined with the right products, you’ll feel like a goddess!

Getting a regular facial is a wonderful addition to your skin-care regimen. But if you can’t make it to an esthetician or can’t afford the high costs of visiting a spa, you can still get all the benefits of a good facial. With your own two hands right in your own home.

Below you’ll find a recipe for one of my favorite homemade anti-aging masks. It only takes about 30 minutes. And it gives you all the benefits of a professional treatment.

I’ve developed a super-simple, exfoliating, nourishing, stimulating and moisturizing facial recipe that you’re going to love.

Here’s what you’ll need to get started:

INGREDIENTS:

  • ½ teaspoon manuka honey – This natural super food is jam-packed with vitamins, amino acids and antioxidants. It helps keep your skin radiant and firm. It also has antibacterial properties to help heal blemishes. This honey also nourishes, stimulates and protects your skin. I use Wedderspoon’s 100% Raw Organic Manuka Honey, Active 16+.
  • ½ teaspoon aloe vera gel – From Ancient Persia and Greece to today, aloe has been used for its biologically active nutrients and its ability to reduce inflammation, provide moisture and help restore damaged skin. It nourishes and moisturizes your skin. Please note: Do not purchase aloe vera gel from the pharmacy. It’s synthetically thickened. Get the edible aloe vera gel from your local health-food store. Or use an aloe plant from home. I use Lily of the Desert’s Aloe Vera Gel Dietary Supplement.
  • ½ teaspoon cold-pressed organic coconut oil – This ingredient is an anti-aging powerhouse. It keeps your skin from sagging and wrinkling. And it brings intensive moisture and protects delicate tissues from oxidative stress. Coconut oil also is a rich, natural source of one of the most important lipid soluble antioxidants – Vitamin E. It moisturizes, nourishes and protects your skin. I use the Unrefined Virgin Coconut Oil made by Spectrum.
  • ½ teaspoon raw cacao powder – This super food was also loved by our ancient ancestors. It supplies your skin with hundreds of vitamins, minerals and antioxidants. What’s more, it nourishes and exfoliates your skin. My favorite is Sacred Cacao Raw Cacao Powder from Ecuador made by Divine Organics.

Step 1:

To make the mask, mix all the ingredients together in a medium-size bowl until a loose paste forms.

Step 2:

Cleanse your face and place a hot towel over your skin for a few minutes to open your pores.

Step 3:

Apply the mask using your fingertips. To help increase absorption and exfoliate your skin, lightly massage it in until the mask feels sticky. Leave the mask on your face for 5-10 minutes.

Step 4:

Rinse well with warm (not hot) water. Pat dry with a clean towel.
