Reverse Hair Loss and Regrow Lush Locks
There are also ways you can restore hair loss and regrow thicker, fuller hair right now. Here are two ingredients that will nourish your stem cells to bring back a full head of thick hair.
- First, feed your stem cell follicles with this B vitamin. In your body, vitamin B3 (niacin) breaks down into a molecule called nicotinamide adenine dinucleotide (NAD+). NAD+ is found in every cell in the body. It converts nutrients from food into energy that fuels your body — including hair follicles.
But levels decline with age. So your body sends NAD where it’s needed most, like your heart and lungs. As a result, your hair follicles don’t get what they need. Fortunately, you can make NAD+ from a B vitamin called niacinamide.
In one study, women with hair loss rubbed this vitamin into their scalps daily. While the placebo group saw no results, those who used niacinamide grew saw new hair growth in less than 30 days. Remarkably, the new hair started to grow in places it hadn’t grown in years.3
Look for serums that contain niacinamide to apply directly to your scalp. Make sure any product you buy has at least 5% niacinamide. You should see results in four to six weeks. - Then, use fenugreek and black cumin seed oil to keep your follicles active. The seeds and leaves of the fenugreek plant contain a form of niacin (vitamin B3) called nicotinic acid.
Niacin is a vasodilator. It increases blood flow to the capillaries that feed your hair root. In one study of a serious balding condition called alopecia, women were given either niacin or a placebo. After six months of applying it topically, the niacin group had a significant increase in the fullness of their hair.4
The oil from black cumin seed (nigella sativa) is rich in beta-sitosterol. In one study, a group of people were treated with black cumin seed oil for three months. Results showed 90% of the black seed group had increased hair thickness compared to only 7% in a placebo group.5
